What the single-page audit checks
- On-page SEO: page title and meta description length, a single H1, subheadings, and image alt text.
- Technical SEO: HTTPS, the http-to-https redirect, noindex tags, the canonical tag, robots.txt, the XML sitemap, the mobile viewport and the language tag.
- Content and links: how much readable text the page has and how many internal links point to your other pages.
- Social and rich results: Open Graph tags for Facebook and Messenger previews, structured data (schema) and the favicon.
- Speed basics: how fast your server returns the page, the HTML size (before compression), and whether gzip or Brotli compression is on.
What the whole-site scan checks
\nThe whole-site scan reads your XML sitemap (or follows links from your homepage if there is none) and checks up to 50 pages, starting with the homepage and a mix of pages and posts. For each page it looks at the status code, title, meta description, H1, noindex tag, canonical tag, word count, image alt text and load time. Then it lists the problems across the site, such as 8 pages with no meta description or 5 pages sharing the same title, with the affected pages under each one. Duplicate titles and descriptions only show up when you look at many pages together, which is why this scan is worth running even if your homepage scores well.
\nHow the score works
Each check carries a weight based on how much it matters for search. A pass earns the full weight, a warning earns half and a problem earns nothing. The score is the share of points earned, out of 100. Indexing, HTTPS and the page title carry the most weight, because getting them wrong can stop a page from ranking at all.
- 90 to 100, Excellent: the basics are in place. Rankings now depend on content, links and competition.
- 75 to 89, Good: a few quick fixes left.
- 50 to 74, Needs work: fix the red items first. They are usually quick wins.
- Below 50, Poor: something basic is holding the page back.
What this tool cannot check
A one-page audit is a starting point, not the full picture. It does not see your rankings, keywords, backlinks, competitors, Google Search Console data or Core Web Vitals, and the whole-site scan stops at 50 pages. A page can score 100 here and still not rank, because the other sites competing for the same searches are stronger.
