How Much Do Facebook and Instagram Ads Cost in the Philippines?

Social Ads article featured graphic

Meta will run ads on ₱100 a day, which makes “how much do Facebook ads cost” a harder question than it looks. The platform has no minimum worth speaking of, so the real question is not what ads cost but what a result costs — and that number is set by your offer and your audience, not by Meta’s rate card.

For most Philippine businesses running lead generation or e-commerce, a realistic starting point is ₱15,000 to ₱40,000 a month in ad spend. Here is what actually determines where you land in that range, and what you get for it.

The three numbers Meta charges against

You are not billed per customer. You are billed for delivery, and three factors set that price:

  • Audience competition. You are bidding against everyone else who wants the same people. Metro Manila professionals aged 25–40 cost meaningfully more to reach than a broad nationwide audience, because that is where the advertisers are.
  • Creative performance. Meta rewards ads people engage with by charging less to deliver them. A strong creative genuinely lowers your costs; this is the one lever fully in your control.
  • Seasonality. Costs climb through the Christmas quarter and around major sale events, when every retailer bids at once. A budget set in June will not buy the same reach in November.

Why cost per result matters more than cost per click

Cheap clicks are easy to buy and frequently worthless. Broad targeting with an engaging video will produce a very low cost per click and very few sales, because you optimised for the wrong thing.

Work in the other direction. Decide what a customer is worth, decide what you can pay to acquire one, and let that set your acceptable cost per result. Then judge campaigns against that figure rather than against a cost-per-click benchmark from someone else’s industry.

What the budget is actually buying in month one

Meta’s delivery system needs roughly 50 conversion events per ad set per week to exit its learning phase and stabilise. Below that, delivery stays volatile and performance swings for reasons that have nothing to do with your creative.

This has a direct budget consequence: splitting ₱15,000 across six ad sets guarantees none of them ever learns. Two well-funded ad sets will almost always outperform six starved ones. Budget fragmentation is the most common self-inflicted problem I see in small Meta accounts.

Management fees and what to expect

As with Google Ads, ad spend and management are separate. Freelancers and small agencies in the Philippines commonly charge either a flat monthly retainer or a percentage of spend, with creative production sometimes billed on top.

Ask specifically whether creative is included. Meta campaigns consume creative far faster than search campaigns consume keywords, and a plan that funds media but not a steady supply of new creative will decay within weeks. The mechanics of that decay are in 5 social ad creative mistakes killing your ROAS.

If costs feel high but you are unsure whether the account itself is the problem, why your Facebook ads stopped working covers the diagnostic side. More on how I run paid social is on my Social Ads service page.

Frequently asked questions

How much do Facebook ads cost in the Philippines?

Most businesses running lead generation or e-commerce spend ₱15,000 to ₱40,000 per month on media, separate from management and creative. The right figure depends on what a customer is worth to you rather than on a platform benchmark.

What is the minimum budget for Facebook ads?

Technically around ₱100 per day, but a budget that small cannot generate the roughly 50 weekly conversion events an ad set needs to stabilise, so results stay volatile and hard to read.

Are Facebook ads cheaper than Google Ads?

Cost per click is usually lower, but intent is lower too. Google captures people already searching, Meta interrupts people who were not. Cost per acquired customer is the only fair comparison.

Why did my Facebook ad costs suddenly increase?

Common causes are seasonal competition, audience fatigue at high frequency, or an edit that reset the ad set into the learning phase. Check frequency and recent change history first.
